Reall has undertaken projects in Malawi since 1992, with the majority of work taking place between 2005 and 2015. Initial focus was on government engagement, land access and tenure security for low-income communities. Ranking as one of the world’s poorest countries, access to decent, affordable housing is a major challenge.

Working with Enterprise Development Holdings, Reall financed the construction of 250 rental units between 2012 and 2015, located in Lilongwe and Blantyre.

Owing to the particularly challenging market context in Malawi, Reall is making an assessment of the strategic options available before making a decision on any new work.
