As global leaders and decision makers worldwide descend on Glasgow for the Climate Change Conference, COP26, Reall showcase climate-smart affordable housing as a key solution to the climate crisis – unlocking climate mitigation and building resilience for people, for profit and for the planet.

Race to Resilience: Financing the Built Asset Adaptation Gap

Monday 8th November | 12pm – 1pm GMT

Co-hosted by UK Green Building Council, Reall and Connected Places Catapult (CPC), this session is part of Build Better Now Campaign from COP26 Built Environment Virtual Pavilion.

Ian Shapiro, Reall’s CEO, will be joined by Erin Walsh, Director of Built Environment, CPC, and Nabeel Siddiqui, CEO and Co-founder of ModulusTech to discuss how to bridge the climate mitigation financing gap. Hear about Sustainable Housing Futures (SHF), an initiative led by Reall and CPC designed to draw in world-class UK built environment capabilities in delivering green affordable housing in Africa and Asia.

Green affordable homes: a scalable solution for inclusive, sustainable and resilient African cities

Tuesday 9th November | 9am – 10am GMT

An exceptional panel session hosted by Reall, as part of the COP26 Resilience Hub, home of Race to Resilience. The event will profile how catalysing the flow of climate-smart affordable homes is a huge opportunity for locking in resilient city growth, crowding in green investment and delivering on the SDG agenda.

Led by Reall’s CEO, Ian Shapiro, you will hear from the Mayor of Beira, Mozambique, Albano Carige and Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction Steering Committee Member, Karim Selouane. We will showcase on the ground affordable housing innovations, and hear exclusive insights from Reall’s delivery partners; Etta Madete, Architectural Designer at BuildX Studio and Richard Bahumwire, CEO of Casa Real, Mozambique.
