Eleventh World Urban Forum – Transforming our Cities for a Better Urban Future

Join Reall at the Foundations and Philanthropies Roundtable at the World Urban Forum in Katowice, Poland on Wednesday 29th June, to build a home for human potential that doesn’t cost the earth.

Foundations and philanthropists have championed the development of such innovative finance solutions that have been successful in
enabling, accelerating, and harnessing private capital markets for public good. The round table will bring together foundations, philanthropists, and industry visionaries to examine the intersection of democracy, funding, technology, and sustainable urban development to discuss how best to secure and leverage resources and investments to build inclusive safe resilient cities that minimize harm to the environment and improve the quality of life for all, particularly the most vulnerable.

Leaders from top foundations and philanthropists present how their work has advanced development and transformed livelihoods, with discussion including the role foundations play to achieve the urban dimensions of the Sustainable Development Goal 11.

  • How are Foundations working to democratize and diversify philanthropy?
  • What role can technology play in building more equitable giving communities?
